Taylor, Cora Bliss 1889-1986

from Cora Bliss Taylor "Cody's World" exhibit, Aug 2019 at the OSH The Big Pavilion From Mt. Baldhead c.1940s | Mixed media Creator: Cora Bliss Taylor As a watercolorist, Cora Bliss Taylor used many devices to create interest and perspective in her works. Often she played with elements for the sake of whimsy. In this example she places the Big Pavilion, considered the center of the community through the 1950s, at the center of the composition. The bridge and jagged horizon are barely a part of the composition. The “center of the community” is the center of this “world” too.
