Furst Chair

Object/Artifact
A wooden carved church chair adorned with curricular trilogy and wheat chaffs on the upper back. Needlepoint seat and backing was new in 1980. The chair was possibly used at the altar at the Dutch Reformed Church on 995 Holland Street. W.O. Furst passed the chair to his son, Harold D. Furst, who in turn passed the item to daughter, Carolyn Sue (Furst) Clark, who stitched the botanical needlepoint covering the chair's seat.
