Furst Chair c. 1880s | carved wood and needlepoint Notes: This Victorian church chair was used at the Dutch Reformed Church at 995 Holland Street in Saugatuck, Michigan. The Needlepoint and seat backing was new in 1980. W.O. Furst passed the chair to his son, Harold D. Furst, who in turn passed the item to his daughter, Carolyn Sue. The chair is decorated with a carved circular trilogy and wheat chaffs on the upper back. Collection: Saugatuck Douglas History Center Gift of: James M.
