Emily Cornelia Faucett 1909 – 1991 Kalamazoo River near Ox-Bow undated | pastel on paper Notes: Emily Faucett was born in Laurium, Michigan. She received her nursing education at St. Luke’s in Chicago, her bachelor’s degree at Antioch College, and her master’s at Tulane University. Her post-graduate work was done at Smith College. She was a social worker specializing in women and alcohol. As an artist, Emily was a member of the Saugatuck Art Council and was involved with the Ox-Bow Summer School of Art.
